COSTUME CONTEST!
Led by Dark Revolution with special guest
appearance from Ex Libris herself, Champion Server kicked off Halloween in
style with scary costume contests and random special badge titles for all!
Faux Pas member Spine Angel participated
in the contest, but despite Supergroup support didn't quite get selected as
the world's scariest villain...

LORD RECLUSE DEFEATED
Today members of the Faux Pas, disguised in
their Heroic alter-egos, defeated Lord Recluse to complete the Statesman Task
Force!
In other news, Dollmistress is going to be
busy for the upcoming week and so will be absent between the 15th and 18th of

ISSUE 11 HEADLINES!
We defeated the head-on alien invasion, but
can we reapir our own past?
Issue 11: "A Stitch In Time"
Features of the Issue include:
* Ouroboros System: Gain the ability to "Flashback" and travel through time and relive major events from the history of Paragon City and the rogue Isles.
* Weapon Customization: Players will be able to change their weapons in the same way that they change their costume parts!
* Two New Power Sets: The City of… universe expands with two new amazing power sets: Dual Blades and Willpower!
* New Inventions: Issue 11 brings with it new invention sets including “Very Rare” Purple sets, as well as brand new invention sets for Taunt, Buff and Debuff powers, among others.
WEAPON CUSTOMISING OPTIONS
Here is what we know so far!
1) Stalker Katana and the new Stalker/Brute Dual Blades!
- each hand can have a different sword!
Options include Dragon Dagger, Broadsword, Katana, Ninja Blade, Faer Dagger, Red Cap Dagger,
Rikti Sword, Carnie Rapier and Main-gauche - with lots more still rto be
discovered!
2) Stalker Claws!
Options include Hero Claws, Villain Claws or Vanguard Talsorian blade,
with more to be found!
3) Corrupter Assault Rifle!
Options include Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Tommy Gun, Reading Rail Rifle and
Pulse Rifle!
4) Mastermind Trick Arrow!
Options include Bow and Compound Bow!
5) Mastermind Robotics Pulse Rifle and Mercs Assault Rifle!Options

Personally, the blades look a little silly,
but that won't stop hundreds of Villains creating new blades alts as soon as
the update arrives!

CHARACTER RENAMES AND TRANSFERS!
After LOTS of testing time and even more
hitches and bugs, character renaming and transferring to other servers should
now be operational. It costs $10 to grab a rename or transfer token.
Be careful if you leave Champion to visit a
new home - you will need to quickly reserve your old name on Champ or else
someone might take it while you are away (if they did you would be forced to
rename yourself upon your return).
Using this new service early, Faux Pas friend
Demoniker is now known as Blackguard!

Apparently, some Faux Pas members has become
concerned about Dollmistress and her alternate guises. One veteran member,
General Confusion, even dispatched a lackey to investigate...

SIGHT-SEEING
Don't worry, Dollmistress isn't gone. She has
been looking after her kitten, and returned to semi-retirement after
completing all her level 50 alts though.
As part of her sabbatical, Doll has donned
her old Heroic "Jadegirl" identity, and wandered off to Paragon
City. Here is one of her holiday snapshots...

ISSUE 11 WEIRDNESS!
Something very, very VERY strange is
happening.
Someone has travelled into the past, and
changed our future. Who this person is, no one yet knows.
However, what is known is that as each day
passes, our timeline is being muddled further and further from accepted
reality. How we villains are immune ot the effect is unknown. What is known

HALLOWEEN BADGES
The new Halloween badges not available last
year appear to be:
Clothes Horse - collect 10 costumes
Fashionable - collect 25 costumes
Ostentatious - collect 50 costumes
THe tiny testing windows for the Halloween
event were first marred by using the old annoying Trick or Treat coding. Now
repaired, the event reveals that in addition to the enemies, Rocks,
Inspirations and costume Salvage earned last year, Villains may also discover
Costume Temp Powers -14 day real-time powers that transform you into a random
NPC enemy!

DEFUSER WINS HERO CONTEST
Oooh. A thorn in the side of Arachnos, the
noble Hero The-Detective" has won the real-life "Who Wants to be a
Superhero" television programme, under the guise of his 'Defuser' secret
identity.
Well done Defuser...but we are still going to
gank youy in Recluse's Victory!
The Defuser will be on-hand at various Cons
and shows across America, and has even mentioned City of Heroes a few times in
interviews!
CAP SF RUN OF DOOM
Dollmistress X outdid herself this week with
the best Cap SF run in history. Taking only 22 minutes to complete the
missions, Doll X led a full team to victory and collection of no less than 2
Numina's Convalescence Uniques, a Miracle Unique, and 2 Positron's Blast
triples.
The total value of earned Recipes exceeded
150 million Infamy!

BASE OUTAGE
Oh dear. The Faux Pas were a little late
paying the rent this month, leading to a one-day outage of the Headquarters.
Apologies to everyone, our home is now operationg as normal!
NEO COSTUMES
While many high level VIllains were off on a
Rikti Pylon Raid, Faux Pas ally Dark Revolution held an enormous costume
contest in Pocket D, showing off their massive army of multiple-SG members.
The costume contest was very kewl, with
prizes for everyone. Dollmistress III was instructed not to join the contest,
cos she was makiing the participants look better (boo!) :)

DOLLS COMPLETED
Dollmistress finally keeled over and took a
break today after completing full Set-IO slotting of her fifth and final main
alt.
Now all five dolls are back to full strength.
This endeavour took 4 months and over 600 million to complete. Doll will now
be awaiting Issue 11, while running Cap SF adventures and hoarding useful
inventions items for other members of Faux Pas. She already has a full set of
rare inventions salvage (all 36 types) for peeps who need cheap copies for
their Recipes.

HEAL FARMING
Members of the Supergroup are reminded that
we still need that darn third Healing Badge to get our Combat Logs base item.
Combat Logs offer infinite Break Frees for a
small price, and would help free up room in the base for other Inspiration
types.
Dollmistress has been doing some Arena
Healing farms with other Villains owning the very useful Longbow Warden II
Gladiator. The Supergroup still has a ways to go, so members are encouraged to
use SG Mode when healing and try out the overnight Arena farms to build up
both their personal and the SG healing progress bars!

GETTING AROUND THE RULES
Fed up with the smelly nerfed Heavies of
Recluse's Victory? Try the new strategy - bring him a friend to play with!
Your Heavy will survive a lot longer if he is
allowed to frolic with one of the newer Vanguard Heavies, and those pesky
Longbow Wardens will keel over twice as fast with TWO Elite Bosses smacking
them around the zone.
Just watch out for Heroes who confuse!
KITTEN MADNESS
Dollmistress has acquired a new kitten in
real life, and it is eating her time (and the wirse of her computer!). She is
a little busy at the moemnt and won't be around quite as much to run Cap SFs
for everybody.
He is a kewt kitten though, and she hasn't
eaten him yet.

BIG MISTAKE
Oopsy! This is a big thankyou to Eu (Farmer
Supremo) and Threnody (who basically rules the Black Market with an Iron
Fist). Dollmistress recently lost 10 million Infamy by bidding 11 million
instead of 1 million on a cheap Inventions Recipe.
Upset, she asked for a little help, and both
Eu and Threnody offered lots of financial compensation. Thanks again, tee hee!
DOCTOR NEVERMIND!
Hmm. The good Doctor has been online, now and
then, celebrating his first level 70 character in World of Warcraft (BOO!).
Please note that Doc is a professional and so his antics on WoW should not be
attempted or imitated by other Villains (cos WoW is smelly!).

HALLOWEEN APPROACHING
It's still a while away, but already
Halloween is being talked about cos it is the next big update before Issue 11.
Apparently the event will repeat the fun of
last year, but with an extra "twist", and a few additional badges.

NEW ISSUE 11 POWERSETS!
Yes, it's true! Villainous Melee types
(Stalkers and Brutes) will soon both have access to a new pair of powersets,
Dual Blades (funny looking swords) and Willpower (kinda dull looking but
powerful armour)!
Detials are sketchy at the moment but both
sets are due to appear in Issue 11, and will also be available to Heroic
Scrappers and Tankers.
