ORIGINS The Faux Pas were founded with the Port Oakes Supergroup Registrar in December 2005 by a mysterious villain known only as "Slid". Slid recruited few members to the group. His first henchman was the infamous Dr. Evermind, and for some time this duo worked tirelessly without assistance to build the foundations of a Supergroup base. In March 2005, Slid disappeared after a group of Luddites unfortunately tunnelled directly into his private study from a nearby underground cavern linked to the Aeon City PTS. He has not been heard from since. Undaunted, Dr. Evermind summoned the aid of two longstanding Crimelords who he had learned to trust during the early days of escaping Mercy Island - the diabolical Dollmistress, and the alluring Nyla. Sadly, both evil villainesses refused to serve under Dr. Evermind, but all was not lost. A resourceful mad-scientist, the Doctor manipulated Nyla's genetic material to breed himself a clone - the deadly "Femme Fatal". He also jury-rigged a stolen Dollmistress teleporter and used it to quantum tunnel into a parallel universe, summoning an alternative-reality "Dollmistress III". This Dollmistress agreed to lend her services as designer of The Faux Pas Headquarters, in exchange for humiliating her "real world" counterpart. The resulting Triumvirate, established on March 29th 2005, share a wealth of knowledge and experience concerning the City of Villains universe, in terms of both gameplay and roleplay. Any members (or even non-members) requiring assistance of any kind need simply to ask, and new players are particularly welcome to join as a way to "learn the ropes" of City of Villains in a friendly and easy-going manner. Obviously, all three Overlords are completely insane and extremely silly, so all advice and assistance should be treated with at least a small degree of caution. |
